Those crazy guys are at it again making urban culture a hell of a lot more fun. Check out this 7 min clip of them converting a Muni stop in SF to a portable rave. Pretty cool stuff… Would love to get this shit started in NYC.
In the small town of Northampton (pop. 30,000) a group of bicyclists banded together to form a pedal powered garbage/recycling hauling service for their town who outsources residential garbage pickup.
Amazingly they work year round in all conditions for very competitive $30 weekly rate. This beats my current $200/mo garbage service here in NYC by far.
This is the first time I have heard of bicyclist’s doing this but I sincerly hope that more towns will pick it up, or maybe the Pedal People can franchise out the business. NYC could benefit from this greatly.

Those cats that own the ultra-fun arcade /slash/ amazing American beer hotspot Barcade, have come correct with another sure to be amazing Williamsburg venue The Gutter. Which promises to mix great beer with an old school 60′s like bowling experience.
I can see it now. Williamsburg vs. Greenpoint bowl-offs, fashionable bowling shoe boutiques, custom designed bowling balls. I can’t wait!

NYC DnB heavyweight DJ ODI busts out another killer mix. This man has been playing out in the mean streets of NYC for nearly 2 decades now. If you ever wanted to hear how proper drum and bass is played look no further than this mix.
The cats over at Pitchfork Media had an opportunity to get Diplo to lay down a hourlong mix and a great interview that dissects his track selection. Great warm up before he and Switch show up in NY on Oct 5th to throw it down at the Hiro Ballroom.
